    I recently had my first training session with Sarah after 8 years of no exercise and 2 years after having a baby. So I was pretty daunted! We did some exercises to help with the neck and shoulder pain that I'd been having and it's actually been so much better ever since. The gym is so lovely and tranquil, it felt like such a treat to take some time for myself.

After an initial consultation Sarah sent me over a comprehensive, easy to read and well planned assessment that took into account my current diet and exercise habits and a plan of action to get me to my stated fitness goals. What was really great was that the plan was realistic and took an all-round approach that included a range of emotional and mental and physical health factors - it made it all feel believable and achievable in a way I haven't really experienced before. The breakdown of exercises and dietary requirements was detailed but easy to follow and I've been able to quickly implement a lot of the recommendations. I followed up with a physical training session in Sarah's really nice gym space where we could review progress together and work together to ensure my compound lift and core technique is effective and safe while taking me towards my goals. Sarah really knows her stuff and I'd definitely recommend her to anyone wanting a bit of help to boost strength, physique, diet and general wellbeing.

  • We seamlessly moved between online and offline sessions

    I first started working with Sarah during late lockdown, initially in person in a park and then we seamlessly moved on to online sessions as we transitioned in and out of the various tiers. Throughout, Sarah was brilliant - working with me to take into account my dexterity and limits yet still finding ways for me to progress. If you’re looking for a ‘sergeant major’ approach in a PT, Sarah isn’t that. She is firm but compassionate. She pushes you but you feel safe. Not only has working with Sarah been brilliant for my fitness, her approach and style has done my mental health the world of good. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending her!

    Gyms are not usually my thing, so I was apprehensive about working with a personal trainer, but working with Sarah has been a bit of a revelation. Before our first session, we spoke about my specific goals – rather than providing generic routines and exercises, Sarah knows my personal goals and has set out a plan to help me achieve them. One of the things that always put me off gyms is the feeling that I don’t really belong there, but Sarah’s one-to-one sessions have made me feel comfortable and engaged about improving my health. I’m even enjoying myself, now!

  • She was really good at working with my injury and knowing my limits

    I started personal training with Sarah as lockdown lifted with a low fitness level and a neck injury. She was so encouraging and un-judgmental that I was instantly comfortable working with her. She gave me achievable goals and pushed me hard enough to push my fitness levels but not so hard that I lost motivation. We worked inside and out and the workouts were varied. She was really good at working with my injury and knowing my limits and what would help my strength all round which of course then helped my injury. I would recommend Sarah to any fitness level as her initial assessment was good meaning she judges my level and moves me on from there.

    After lockdown I was looking to concentrate on my fitness and nutrition as I'd gotten out of good habits that had generated a 40lb weight-loss over 18 months. I knew from past experience training is only part of the overall results I was looking for and that a well structured nutrition programme is essential. Sarah had a consultation with me to define my short and medium term goals so I could get back on track. This helped give me focus and we had a collaborative approach which included developing a nutrition and results tracker I could update and track weekly progress. I found this really motivating, as I needed both structure and more importantly accountability which I know works well for me to avoid sabotaging my longer term goals. Having a tailored programme meant I could also train in the week at my gym and have flexibility in my schedule as I struggled to commit to rigid gym class timetables due to work and home demands. I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking to find their motivation and get back on plan with prioritising their fitness and health goals!
